High Season Rental Enquiries on the Rise

As we head into the wet and windy months of September and October, we’re continually reminded that the rainy season is on its last legs and we’re soon going to be having a fantastic, busy festive season here in Phuket. How? Well, we took one look at the site statistics for Rentals-Phuket.com in August and we were convinced!

August 2009 saw Rentals-Phuket.com achieve record highs in terms of visits, page views and just about every other important site statistic there is. And as far as owners listing with us are concerned, this translated into a huge increase in the number of enquiries that were generated on the site.

Here’s a quick month-on-month comparison of August 2009 vs. July 2009 (our previous record month):

• Unique visits: +45.42%
• Pages viewed: +57.26%
• Pages per visit: +8.14%
• Average time on site: +8.46%

Obviously we’re thrilled with this massive across-the-board improvement, but what’s most impressive is the number of enquiries currently being generated on the site. At the moment, we’re seeing anywhere from 30-60 enquiries per day! While many of these are requesting accommodation during the upcoming high season, long-term rental requests haven’t completely disappeared. In fact, about 30% of enquiries are still for long-term rentals.

With the site buzzing as it is, we at Rentals-Phuket.com are optimistic that this high season will be significantly stronger than was originally forecast. Fingers crossed!
